Warner Robins church sheltering homeless community for hurricane [Video]

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — Car lines stretched down South Pleasant Hill Road in Warner Robins Thursday, as folks waited hours to get sand bags from the city Public Works Department. 

Cars could get up to 10 free bags to protect their homes and businesses through the overnight storm.

“Coming from Miami, Florida, I’ve experienced a few hurricanes,” Pastor Vince Harrington said.

That’s one reason why Harrington is helping to look out for those who don’t have anywhere to place sandbags. 

“To be outside and not have shelter is not where you want to be in a hurricane,” Harrington said.

No Limit Baptist Church will house homeless people through the night of Thursday, Sept. 26. This winter, they partnered with the city of Warner Robins to turn their church into a warming shelter.
