Warrant clinic provides relief for Monroe residents [Video]

MONROE, La. (KNOE) – Growing Real Alternatives Everywhere (GRAE) and Black Business Owners United (BBOU) hosted a successful Warrant Clinic on Friday Jan. 24, at Monroe City Court, giving residents a chance to resolve outstanding warrants in a supportive and stress-free environment.

The clinic, held from 5 to 8:30 p.m., offered individuals with warrants in Divisions “B” and “C” the opportunity to address their legal matters without fear of incarceration.

Presiding over the event was Judge Aisha Clark, who emphasized efficiency and accessibility.

Attendees were treated to free meals and live entertainment from a DJ, creating a welcoming atmosphere that organizers say helped ease the stress often associated with legal proceedings.

“Creating a judgment-free space is key to encouraging individuals to take care of their legal matters,” said Kenya Roberson, one of the event organizers.
