MONROE, La. (KNOE) – Outstanding warrants could be wiped out for some.
Growing Real Alternatives Everywhere (GRAE) and Black Businesses Owners United are teaming up to help individuals clear their outstanding “B” and “C” warrants without the fear of incarceration.
Kenya Roberson, executive director of the Northeast Louisiana Black Chamber of Commerce, said this event is all about serving the community.
“Creating a relaxed, judgment-free environment is key to encouraging individuals to take care of their legal matters without fear,” said Roberson. “This event is part of our ongoing mission to provide practical solutions and alternatives that empower and uplift our community.”
The Warrant Clinic will take place on Jan. 24 at Monroe City Court from 5-8:30 p.m., with Judge Aisha Clark presiding over the hearings.
