The winner of the top prize in Saturday night’s top prize of €25,000 in Glenswilly GAA Club Development Draw will have to shelve any plans for immediate celebrations.
Twenty-two-year-old Medical Science student Leeza Cunningham from Glencolmcille is due to start her exams at ATU Galway on Monday, and admitted she thought the draw she bought a ticket for took place “months ago.”
Glenswilly launched the draw, which brought in €370,000 in ticket sales, back in June, and Leeza bought the ticket from Cormac Callaghan, who plays for the club’s first team when she was on placement last year in the labs in Letterkenny University Hospital. Leeza plays with Naomh Columba and is a member of the Donegal LGFA senior panel.
