WATERBURY, Conn. — At the Sept. 27 high school football game between Derby and Wilby High School, police say six teenagers were arrested after a fight broke out.
The decision to move the Waterbury school district’s football games to 3:30 p.m. was made because of the continuous fighting problem, but some parents feel the change may not make a difference.
“Honestly, if a fight is going to happen, it’s going to happen at 3:30 [or] it’s going to happen at 7:30. The kids need to control their behavior a little bit more for the athletes.”
