NEWPORT, N.Y. — West Canada Valley Girls Soccer’s Leila Selimovic scored twice in the opening five minutes of play at home, and added a third goal from midfield in the closing seconds of the half, in the Nighthawks 5-2 win over Little Falls.
Selimovic’s three goals on Thursday ups her three-game total to eight goals on the season
Selimovic has now scored a hat-trick in two of her first three games this season. In the other game, she scored two goals, upping her season total to eight goals.
Senior Madison Gonzalez also scored in the first half, and assisted Selimovic with a beautiful ball on the sophomore’s second goal of the game.
The Nighthawks move to 3-0 in the CSC, and will next welcome in Dolgeville to home field on Monday at 4:30 p.m.
