What is Minnesota’s new minimum wage? [Video]

Minimum wage is going up in Minnesota to adjust with inflation.

MINNESOTA, USA — The minimum amount workers can earn in Minnesota is going up at the start of 2025, whether you’re at a large or small business. 

Starting Jan. 1, 2025, the minimum wage will be $11.13, up from $10.85 for large employers and $8.85 for small employers.

Minimum wage is higher in some cities, including Minneapolis, which will increase to $15.97 for all businesses. St. Paul has four categories for minimum wage — macro, large, small, and micro — with all increasing in 2025. 

There also is no longer going to be a reduced minimum wage for small employers. Starting Jan. 1, employees in the state will be able to earn the same standard minimum. There is still a 90-day training wage for employees under age 20, according to the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry. The training wage is rising …
