Well believe it or not, it can still be put to good use.

Even after the needles start falling and the decorations come down, there are still some ways to give your live Christmas tree a second life.

Starting January 6, the city of Bangor will begin offering free roadside pickup to turn your tree into wood chips — which are then used as biomass fuel or to help fight soil erosion.
