Starting in February, cars will get towed if they’re parked longer than two hours in a 20-space lot downtown.
DUBLIN, Ga. — Some call it growing pains for Dublin’s bustling downtown.
Soon, cars will be towed in one downtown lot if they’re parked too long.
Executive Director of Downtown Dublin Glenda Berry said last year, downtown Dublin saw 11 new businesses pop-up. And while that’s good news for the city, it’s also added more traffic.
If you’ve visited downtown recently during lunchtime, you might hear the same complaint from folks.
“We definitely need more parking. I know we have some across the street over there, but I think we could use more parking,” Olivia Flanders said.
She’s a manager at Mint, a boutique that opened downtown after Hurricane Helene.
“We decided we would block off 20 spaces for nine to five, Monday through Friday, for two hours at a time,” Miller said.
