Williston middle school students hear from candidates ahead of November [Video]

A group of middle school students got a front-row seat to some key political races in Vermont. While they still have about five or six years until they can vote, organizers say it is a chance for them to learn about the process and see what their futures might hold.Seventh and eighth-grade students at the Williston Central School packed the Al Myers Auditorium Friday morning for their annual candidates’ forum to listen to Vermont’s candidates talk about key issues that face their communities.Grace Dasilvea is an eighth-grade student at the school and says she appreciates all the candidates for finding time to stop by and talk her and her classmates through the major issues facing the state they love.”To have all these hard-working, busy, very important people that might be running our state one day here to talk to all these WCS students is very cool,” said Dasilvea.
