A top Wisconsin lawmaker is signaling there may be more restrictions coming on legal THC products in the state.THC is the substance in marijuana that creates a “high” feeling. While marijuana products are illegal, hemp products still have THC in them and are legal under federal law. Hemp and marijuana come from the same plant, but hemp naturally has a lower THC content than marijuana does. Both can be intoxicating and psychoactive. “You can feel that effect,” said Alyssa Waite, a store manager at Knuckleheads Wellness smoke shop in Milwaukee’s Eastside neighborhood.Knuckleheads Wellness is one of the many places in Wisconsin selling those legal hemp-derived THC products. The hemp products come under many different names with different compounds, including Delta-8, HHC, Delta-10, THCB, and THCA to name a few.
