In the wake of Hurricane Helene’s devastation, Asheville City Government said “Businesses that employ fewer than 200 full-time workers can apply for grants of up to $25,000 to help recover losses that aren’t covered by other forms of assistance.” The deadline to apply is Wednesday, November 27, 2024.

Additionally, Buncombe County residents can receive construction and/or reconstruction funding through the Hazard Mitigation Grant program.   The focus is to protect your property from future disasters. There are three projects tied to the Grant Program: Elevation, Mitigation Reconstruction and Acquisition.
