Zach Frazier shines in Pittsburgh Steelers debut, makes case for starting center [Video]

PITTSBURGH — Welcome to the NFL, rookie. First preseason games for any rookie can bring out jitters and natural struggles for many players, as it did for Pittsburgh Steelers first-round pick Troy Fautanu. Yet, it was the opposite for second-round pick Zach Frazier. Frazier played for most of the game after Nate Herbig exited following the team’s second series, and he was not disappointing.

In fact, Frazier allowed zero pressures in 19 pass-blocking snaps while clearing lanes in the run game. Herbig was part of two faulty quarterback-center exchanges, and with the way that Frazier ended up playing, it is hard to not see him pushing for the starting job in Week 1. However, if you ask Frazier, he thinks it might not have been quite good enough.
