3/31: Erin’s Easter Sunday Forecast [Video]

Easter is soggy (but dry) until the late evening after sunset, in which heavy showers and a few storms arrive south of the turnpike. Up to an inch is possible closer to Columbus, and most of the showers pass east between 6am and 7am Monday. We catch a break through the day Monday before more showers and storms arrive later in the evening (late afternoon to evening is most likely). Tuesday could bring some stronger, maybe even severe, thunderstorms to areas south (the severe threat increases the closer you get to Cincinnati). Primary concerns are small hail and gusty winds. Temperatures remain cooler than average, providing the environment for snow accumulation late Wednesday into Thursday. Light accumulations are expected, with higher accumulations in Hillsdale, Erie, and Huron counties with northwesterly flow. Sun and average temperatures return late-week ahead of the total solar eclipse.
