A cold start to Spring [Video]

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – After a weekend of sunshine and warm temperatures, we are looking at some colder mornings ahead. Over the next 48 hours temperatures will dip to or below the freezing mark as some much colder air settles across the Carolinas.

A Freeze Watch is in effect Monday night through Tuesday morning.

• Monday: Mostly sunny, breezy, & cooler
• First Alert Tuesday: Sunny, cold
• Wednesday: Sunny, warmer

Despite the brief cold snap heading our way, we have some sunny days ahead. Overnight, expect partly cloudy skies with lows in the 40s. Tomorrow will be mostly sunny, breezy, and colder with highs in the 50s and 60s. Tuesday is still on track to be sunny but cold with lows in the 20s and 30s; afternoon highs will only climb into the 50s.
