A rainy start to the weekend followed by dry & cooler temperatures for Sunday [Video]

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) -Rain has returned to the Mid-South and will continue throughout much of the day. A few periods of rain could be heavy and there could be a few rumbles of thunder. It will be breezy at times too. Rain will taper off this evening and it will be dry tomorrow but skies will likely remain cloudy and temperatures will be cooler. Fortunately the work week will feature a drier pattern and warmer temperatures.

TODAY: Rain, heavy at times and breezy. Temperatures will fall into the low to mid 40s, northerly winds at 10-20 MPH and gusting.

TONIGHT: Rain tapering off in the evening then mostly cloudy. Lows in the upper 30s and winds out of the northwest at 10-15 MPH.

SUNDAY: Cloudy and cooler with highs in the upper 40s and winds out of the northwest at 10-15 MPH. Lows in the lower 30s.
