Astana Hub launches Seed Money program | Silk way TV

The Astana Hub International Technopark has launched the application process for its Seed Money startup funding program, offering participants the chance to secure up to 20 million tenge. Any startup seeking funding for development purposes can apply. One of the conditions for taking part in this unique seed financing program is to have at least three key team representatives, including the project leader. Candidates must also be residents of Astana Hub and have a legal entity. This requirement is necessary for applying for financing and interacting with partners, clients, and investors. Moreover, startups must correspond to one of the three development stages: MVP, PMF, or SCALE. As indicated by the technopark, funding preference is primarily given to startups in seven key areas, namely artificial intelligence, space technologies, blockchain, defense industry, Hardware, SmartCity, and Game Development.
“It’s been four years since the program was launched. Thus, since 2021, three cohorts have received funding, with the third cohort having received financing starting in January of this year. Over the past years, an average of 67 percent of funded companies have reached regular sales levels. Currently, applications are being accepted online on the astanahub.com portal. The deadline for applications is March 5th,” said Anarbek Utegulov, Director of Financing Programs Office at Astana Hub.
