Beloved restaurant hit with break-in, suspects still at large, police say [Video]

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Young Avenue Deli, a beloved restaurant in Memphis, has been hit with a break-in and the suspects are still at large.

On February 28, responded to an alarm call to the restaurant on Young Avenue.

Officers arrived on the scene and discovered that the front door glass had been destroyed.

MPD made contact with one of the employees who was already inside the business.

She advised the police she had received a call from the alarm company at 05:59.

When she arrived at the business, she found the front north-facing door had been shattered.

Upon entering the business, she found several cash register tills strewn about the dining area.

The door to the office had also been torn from its frame.

Officers were told that the only missing property was an empty cash register and an empty black zip bag used for banking.
