The Bogalusa mayor is pressing charges against a councilwoman accused of threatening to shoot him during this week’s council meeting. Mayor Tyrin Truong posted a statement on his Facebook page saying that he was threatened by a council person “with a loaded double barrel shotgun.”Truong does not specifically name the councilperson in his statement, but during an exchange with a resident caught on the meeting livestream, Councilwoman Penny Douglas admits to saying it after the resident brings up her comments as concerning.Following a heated exchange, the mayor briefly speaks before leaving the meeting.
