Buca di Beppo property in Worthington sold to Chick-fil-A [Video]

Buca has been operating in Worthington for more than 20 years.

The property at 60 East Wilson Bridge was bought by Atlanta-based company Chick-fil-A for $2.5 million on April 17, according to property transfer records from the Franklin County Auditor.

Chick-fil-A plans to demolish the existing site to build their restaurant, Columbus Business First reported last year. The restaurant is not expected to open until 2027. Buca di Beppo plans to remain in operation at that location until 2026, according to a statement from the restaurant.

Buca di Beppo is a family-style dining restaurant that features classic Italian food.

Ohio has three other Buca di Beppo locations, including one in Columbus on North Front Street. The other two locations are in Cincinnati and Strongsville.

A restaurant spokesperson said Buca has the right to extend its lease for an additional five-year period.
