SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Daylight saving time starts Sunday and a local restaurant is inviting people to “spring forward” by enjoying some happy hour deals.
Clocks turn back an hour at 2 a.m. Sunday, which means people can take advantage of later sunsets.
Starting Sunday, Garibaldi, a rooftop restaurant located at the InterContinental San Diego hotel in downtown San Diego, is offering a special happy hour menu every day from 4 p.m. to sunset. It includes $1.50 oysters, $7 tuna tartare and $7 calamari fritto.
InterContinental San Diego’s Director of Food and Beverage Jeff Josenhans says the restaurant is also offering free parking under the hotel for any bill over $50.
Another highlight of sunset happy hours at Garibaldi is the addition of “rail seating.” Josenhans says when making reservations on the restaurant’s website, customers can request specific seats with a breathtaking view of San Diego Bay.
