KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – On Friday, dozens of community members attended part two of the KC United for Safety Violence Intervention & Prevention Symposium & Summit. It’s a step to getting closer to putting a gun violence reduction plan into action.
The plan is called ‘One United KC Plan’ it’s a KC 360 10 Point Collective Action Plan.
Last month, KCMO City Officials, Jackson Co. leaders, KCPD, nonprofits, business owners, and many other community members came together to talk about what they want to see done with gun violence and what they think can each do to make a change.
“We can do better that is why we are continuing to come together to do it,” said KCMO Mayor Quinton Lucas.
Friday’s part two event was to come up with the final plan.
