City of Albuquerque plans complaint against Adam Food Market [Video]

The City of Albuquerque is taking legal action to try and shut down Adam Food Market. Albuquerque police said the store on the corner of Central Avenue and Pennsylvania Street Northeast increases crime in the area. This is the second time the city and APD have expressed their concerns about the business. “This is causing extreme harm to the neighborhood and essentially this business is an accessory to all the criminal activity that you see,” said Mayor Tim Keller at a press conference Tuesday. According to APD, there have been seven murders at this store within the last four years. To add to that, a police officer suffered a gunshot wound after a shooting there in December. APD also revealed earlier this month that narcotic detectives purchased drugs from inside the store and were sent to a nearby hotel to pick them up. This resulted in six felony arrests. “This …
