TYLER, Texas — The City of Tyler is expecting a large amount of visitors starting Friday for the April 8 solar eclipse and officials are urging residents to be prepare.
The city is encouraging community members to:
- Stay home to avoid heavy traffic
- Get gas, groceries, and prescriptions before eclipse day to avoid long lines/shortages.
- If you are going somewhere to watch the eclipse, prepare for the heavy traffic—especially after the eclipse when people leave at the same time.
- Make non-urgent appointments for a different day.
