Two Boston civil rights attorneys are calling on the Springfield School Committee to restart a superintendent search, citing questions about whether the process has been open and fair.
“The selection of a superintendent for one of the most diverse school districts in the Commonwealth is too important to be rushed forward amidst significant community concerns about fairness and equity in the process,” the attorneys, who work with Lawyers for Civil Rights Boston, said in a letter to the committee made public Thursday.
