OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Mainly clear skies and light winds allowed temperatures to drop into the low 40s and even upper 30s across the area to start the day. Definitely on the chillier side for early May! You’ll want the jacket heading out the door this morning, but you won’t need it all day long. Some highs clouds drifting in from the south this morning giving us some filtered sunshine should thin out by this afternoon. With mainly sunny skies, temperatures should warm fairly quickly, climbing into the lower 60s by Noon. A southeast breeze at 5-15mph will develop by afternoon, helping to push our high temperatures toward 70 degrees. It should really be a fantastic afternoon to get outside and enjoy the quiet weather.
