TULSA, Okla. — Starting on Monday, one of the major ways many people get to Tulsa International Airport will be closed for much of the rest of the year.
Starting at 9 a.m. Monday, the eastbound I-244/US-412 ramp to westbound SH-11 will be closed as part of a bridge rehabilitation project, according to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.
The project will reconstruct both bridges that carry the ramp over westbound I-244 and over the eastbound SH-11 ramp to eastbound I-244.
Starting Monday, eastbound I-244 drivers headed to SH-11/Tulsa International Airport will be detoured to the Mingo off-ramp and can re-enter westbound I-244 to access SH-11.
Other closures are planned throughout the project, including full closures of westbound I-244.
Initial planned closures include:
- From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 5, the left lane of eastbound I-244 and right lane of westbound I-244 will be closed between Memorial and Mingo for barrier wall placement.
