Devin Toner gets into brewing with three brothers [Video]

O Brother Brewing said it has raised €600,000 funding from investors who include former Ireland and Leinster rugby player Devin Toner.

The micro brewer announced last year that it was relocating from Kilcoole in Co.Wicklow to Belmont Demesne near Greystones this spring.

The brewer’s new 580 square metre brewery will also include a visitor centre offering tours and a tap room, as well as some brewery-only specials.

Devin Toner, who moved into financial services after hanging up his boots, commented: “There are so many upsides to O Brother Brewing’s business. You have three brothers who have poured their passion into building an exciting enterprise from their hobby and vision.

“Along the way they’ve made some very smart business decisions while creating fantastic-tasting beers that stand out wherever you see them on the shelves.

“I really admire the path they’re on and am thrilled to back the next stage in their journey.”
