Dogpatch Labs and NDRC will host the first 2050 Sustainability Hackathon at the Greentech HQ sustainability innovation hub in Co Wexford next Saturday (9 Match).
Around 80 entrepreneurs are due to compete in the one-day hackathon, which will be the first event of its type to take place in Ireland.
The hackathon forms part of the 2050 Accelerator, Dogpatch Labs’ new programme aimed at making Ireland a leading global platform for sustainability innovation.
Participants will be tasked with taking an idea for a start-up “with sustainability at its core” from development and customer discovery in the morning before afternoon mentoring sessions with sustainability innovation experts.
Themes include biodiversity management and applications of AI in building a circular economy, the carbon credits market, upending social economies, or promoting more diverse and equitable perspectives in the professional world.
