Entrepreneur Steven Bartlett showed off the ruthless streak that has got him to the top of the business tree in the latest episode of Dragons’ Den.

The 31-year-old businessman left his four fellow Dragons, Sara Davies, Touker Suleyman, Peter Jones and Deborah Meaden, looking exasperated after he snaffled a deal with a trail running start-up – before anyone else had a chance to even make an offer.

Viewers watching at home admitted they loved seeing the impressive young tycoon outfoxing his peers.

The Dragon swooped in with negotiations after being impressed by trail running company One Hundred, with co-founder João Andrade making the pitch.

And that’s a deal: Steven Bartlett offered trail running start-up One Hundred £100,000 for a 5 per cent stake and 5 per cent royalties… and the businessmen accepted without hearing offers from any of the other Dragons
