Emerson students continue to protest Israel-Hamas war in alley [Video]

Students at a college in Boston continue to camp out in a Boston alley as a way of protesting the war in Gaza between Israel and Hamas.While police in New York City are arresting scores of students amid war protests, the demonstrations at Emerson College and other Massachusetts schools have been peaceful.A number of Emerson students began setting up tents in Boylston Place Alley, which Emerson president Jay Bernhardt said is under the jurisdiction of the Boston Police Department, and that encampment remained as of Tuesday night.Similar encampments have been set up on the campuses of Tufts University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.The protests over the Israel-Hamas war are pitting free speech against campus safety, as Jewish students in New York are saying they feel unsafe.”Jewish students walking through a campus are being told that every day will be Oct. 7,” said Tara Levine, president of the Foundation to …
