Thursday: moisture will start to return ahead of a cold front and as southerly winds are back over the state. It will be mostly cloudy and a few degrees cooler with high temperatures in the lower 60s.

A cold front will move toward Alabama on Friday along with a weak upper-level wave. We will be mostly cloudy with some showers popping up during the day. It will stay mild with highs in the middle 60s.

Weekend Outlook: The front will stall across Alabama on Saturday as southwest flow aloft prevents it from moving east. A stronger upper-level wave will move across the state and that will bring us heavy rain and storms throughout the day. We will be mild and more humid with temperatures in the middle to upper 60s.
