ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Clouds rolled into north Georgia late Thursday, and it will stay partly to mostly cloudy on Friday. However, rain will hold off until the evening, and it looks nice and mild again. Lows will be in the 40s around the 7:15 AM sunrise. The temperature will climb to the mid to upper 60s in the afternoon. The best chance of showers in the next 7 days is between about 9 pm Thursday and 7 am Friday. Rain will be scattered and a rumble of thunder cannot be ruled out.

Dry skies return by mid-morning on Friday. There will be some sunshine and an active breeze in the afternoon. Cool air lags behind the front, so highs will be in the 60s again on Friday.
