HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – Monday, after showers move out after 1 AM, we are expected to catch a bit of a break from the rain, but it doesn’t last too long. By the time that most are heading to work in the morning, the chance for rain ramps back up and we will see scattered showers through the morning. The chance for thunderstorms increases as we approach the afternoon. That is when the chance of heavy rain and strong thunderstorms returns. There is a chance of hail, gusty winds, and a very small chance of a tornado as well.

The main day to focus on, as far as the highest chance for severe weather, is Tuesday. Tuesday brings the chances of severe thunderstorms, damaging wind gusts, hail, flooding, and even tornadoes.
