SAGINAW, Mich. (WJRT) – A Flint man was arraigned Friday morning on charges that accuse him of killing another man in a Saginaw party store, which was set on fire, earlier this week.
Court records show 42-year-old Cetrice Bowens faces one count of open murder and seven weapons charges for the death of 40-year-old Tyrone Cannady inside K&D Market on Jefferson Avenue in Saginaw.
The Saginaw Fire Department responded to K&D Market early Monday and located a small fire burning in an apartment above store. Firefighters located Cannady’s body after extinguishing the flames.
Investigators say Cannady died from a gunshot wound before the fire started. Saginaw police arrested Bowens on Tuesday evening.
