Football legends Fabrice Muamba, Tom Lockyer and Glenn Hoddle have teamed up to form the ‘Re-Starting 11’ – a group of individuals who have all been affected by life-threatening heart conditions.
The inspiring team was unveiled at Wembley Stadium and consists of players and fans who have either survived a cardiac arrest or saved someone’s life. They aim to highlight the importance of learning lifesaving CPR.
Managed by football icons Graeme Souness and Glenn Hoddle, the ‘Re-Starting 11’ also includes Derby County defender Megan Tinsley and Wigan Athletic striker Charlie Wyke.
This initiative is part of a new campaign called ‘Every Minute Matters’, launched by Sky Bet and the British Heart Foundation. The goal is to train 270,000 people – equivalent to three Wembley Stadiums – in lifesaving CPR over the next year.
