Funeral arrangements set for officer killed in line of duty [Video]

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) -Funeral plans have been made for beloved officer Joseph McKinney, 26, who died in the line of duty on Friday, April 12.

The family will welcome friends on Monday, April 22nd, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Hope Church, 8500 Walnut Grove.

Officer McKinney’s funeral will start at 1:30 p.m. at Hope Church, with interment immediately after at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave.

He was not only a dedicated officer, but also an Eagle Scout, which demonstrates his character and leadership abilities.

He leaves behind his loving daughter, Camila McKinney; fiancée, Karina Najera Sanchez; parents, Chris and Tina McKinney; brother, David McKinney; and several aunts, uncles, extended relatives, and friends. In this time of sadness, Joseph’s memory is carried on by the innumerable people he impacted.
