Get ready for a chilly start to the workweek [Video]

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – We had a chilly Sunday across the area with highs in the 30s & 40s. With the wind in play, it felt much cooler than that.

This cooling trend is set to continue into Monday. The only difference is the wind will not be as strong as it was today.

The outlook shifts as Tuesday approaches, marking the beginning of a warming trend. Highs are expected to climb back into the mid to upper 50s.

The break from the 40s is short-lived as another front comes in for Wednesday. This front will bring a dual impact, dropping temperatures back into the low to mid 40s and increasing the precipitation chances for Thursday.

Friday and Saturday maintain the chance of rain and potentially a wintry mix, setting the stage for a potentially damp and chilly weekend.
