CBIC Tobacco News: A further amendment to the GST law was made by Finance Bill 2024, which stipulates that producers of gutka, pan masala, and other tobacco products that are similar to these will be subject to a fine of up to Rs 1 lakh if they do not register their packing machinery with the GST authorities by April 1.
