GreyScout sees opportunity in online brand protection [Video]

Reaching the age of 40 is milestone in many people’s lives, and that’s certainly the case for John Killian, CEO of GreyScout. Killian reached the four decade landmark in June 2019, and on his birthday Sprig Technologies was incorporated.

To that stage, the TUS Athlone graduate’s career had taken him to roles with Buy4Now, eShopWorld, and providing freelance ecommerce counsel to big brands.

From that experience came the knowledge that one of the challenges for online vendors is protecting themselves against unfair competition from counterfeiters, and competition from grey market vendors who undercut brand pricing.

To address this issue, GreyScout promises a lot. It says that the GreyScout platform can integrate with online brand protection portals to enable brands to take action against any retailer found to be in breach of company policy. Additionally, it also promises to enforce, delist and geo-restrict sales of critical products.
