Hawkeyes are mission-focused heading into final game at Carver [Video]

IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) – The Iowa women’s basketball senior class said they were glad to have that emotional and sentimental day when they were honored after their regular season finale against Ohio State. Since then, they’ve been mission-focused and all about business as they head into round two of the NCAA Tournament.

After taking down Buckeyes in their regular season finale, Iowa’s senior class of five were honored in front a full house that they help build.

“I think we got all the crying and tears out of the way,” fifth-year senior guard Gabbie Marshall said.

The ceremony helped them reflect on what’s been a rewarding run. ,

“I’ve been talking about how it’s just been bittersweet,” Marshall added. “Kind of thinking about all the memories I’ve had in this gym and all the things we’ve been able to do together.”
