Homes Under the Hammer star Tommy Walsh appeared concerned when he met two guests who spent a considerable sum on a plot of land with huge plans to develop the site. The 67-year-old BBC presenter headed to North Hertfordshire in the town of Hitchin.

He met with a property developer called Steve who had gone into business with his friend Dave with the pair forking out £173,000 at auction for a plot of land. They then had to fork out a further £11,000 in legal fees.

Despite the plot coming with planning permission, they had to slightly amend it to make way for a bigger kitchen. They also found that it sat on a sewer pipe, which Tommy feared would cause huge complications and delays.
