AT&T says it has restored wireless coverage after an outage knocked out cellphone service on its network across the country. Sarah Tower, an AT&T customer, said her Thursday morning could be described as frustrating, stressful and aggravating due to the outage. “Of course, I was rushing out the door this morning,” Tower said. “I wasn’t paying attention because my phone is on Wi-Fi at home, so I wasn’t paying attention. I tried to turn on my GPS and my book, and nothing would work.”At around 7:45 p.m., AT&T released a statement that reads: “Based on our initial review, we believe that today’s outage was caused by the application and execution of an incorrect process used as we were expanding our network, not a cyber attack.
