I-TEAM: Safety concerns over abandoned garage [Video]

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – An abandoned garage on Daniels Ave. in Toledo is becoming more than just an eye-sore for one Toledo man as it is starting to crumble onto his property.

“I’ve lived here for about six or seven years so it’s been that long, but it started getting really bad about two years ago,” said Michael Dilorenzo.“It’s disappointing to look at it and just see all this overgrowth and abandoned structure crumbling and falling and just nobody really making an effort to come and take care of it in a timely fashion.”

Michael says he has been reporting the garage to Engage Toledo for about two years but nothing has been done about it yet. The customer service provider for the city at one point urged Michael to call police.

“They said not to touch any of this,” Michael said.
