Anthony M. Kennedy, former Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, will be releasing a new memoir later this year.
The upcoming memoir will be published by Simon & Schuster in two volumes titled Life and Law: The Early Years and Life and Law: The Court Years for release on Oct. 1, the publishing company announced Tuesday.
Justice Kennedy’s memoir will follow his beginnings as a child raised in Sacramento, California, in the 1940s and his early career as a practicing lawyer, through serving on the highest courts in America, according to a press release from Simon & Schuster.
The attorney will also share insight into the major cases he heard during his 30 years on the Supreme Court. Those included decisions on abortion, gay marriage, religious liberty and the death penalty.
