Lewiston bowling alley set to reopen in May [Video]

Justin and Samantha Juray have spent the past five months re-inventing a space touched by tragedy. In May, the couple will finally reopen their doors.

Justin and Samantha Juray said they will welcome the community back to their small business on Friday, May 3.

The couple told NEWS CENTER Maine’s Samantha York they would share more details as the date gets closer.

The Jurays have spent the past five months re-inventing a space touched by tragedy. On Oct. 25, 2023, an armed gunman entered the bowling alley and opened fire. In total, 18 people were killed in the shootings there and at a nearby bar and restaurant.

“I’m excited to open. I’m ready to have the community back,” Justin Juray said. “I miss everyone.”
