The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced that a major bridge connecting New Orleans East to Chalmette will be closed for the weekend. The Green Bridge will be closed starting Friday at 8 p.m. and will reopen Monday, May 3, at 5 a.m. The bridge is getting repairs to its concrete and steel components.
