A MAJOR luxury retailer has abruptly closed all of its stores and filed for bankruptcy.
The high-end appliance store Pirch filed for Chapter Seven bankruptcy on Friday, April 19.
Pirch was a San Diego County, California-based showroom company that had reportedly experienced financial difficulties in the past.
The company’s website stated that it would temporarily shut all of its stores on March 20.
“This is a pause of business to give management the opportunity to complete a go-forward plan,” the website said.
“We are navigating through various options.
“We take this situation very seriously and are working diligently to resolve it.”
The retailer confirmed that it has not yet announced a reopening date for its showrooms, warehouses, or offices.
