Merrill Summer Playground signups start Monday morning online [Video]

MERRILL, Wis. (WSAW) – If you live in Merrill, Monday is the day that you can sign up for Summer Playground. It’s a summer long childcare program through the parks department. It’s for kids in kindergarten through 5th grade.

“We offer the kids opportunities to do crafts, we do games, we do field trips, we do a lot of swimming, we visit Council grounds, we, we basically spend the whole day with the kids having fun,” said Dawn Smith, Recreation Manager, Merrill Parks and Recreation.

Only 60 kids are accepted in the program. It costs $50 a week. Registration opens at 6a.m. Dawn says you better hurry to sign up, she says last year, they were completely full within an hour and a half. Click here for a link to sign up.
