Residents living inside a Portland Housing Authority building are moving because of longstanding mold issues inside some of the units.8 Investigates obtained months of internal emails from a whistleblower, 25 Boyd Street property manager Baba Ly.The emails raise questions about whether all the staff members are following the low-income housing company’s health and safety guidelines.“I felt powerless and I complained internally, including complaining to the executive director and also the board of commissioners,” said Ly. “Everyone just like, chose to push it under the rug,”Two tenants living at 25 Boyd Street asked for legal help in November. They say they repeatedly complained about mold, but that nothing was done.
